FINANCIAL PROTECTION

By law, Essential Sailing is bound by the EC Directive on Package Travel – The Package Travel, Package Holidays and Package Tour Regulations 1992-SI-3288/1992, and as such your financial protection is provided as follows:
- Travel arrangements that include flights must be bonded with the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) and as such, operators must have an Air Travel Organisers’ License (ATOL).
- Travel arrangements and accommodation that do not include flights can be protected by either a bond held with a trade association eg ABTA, or by way of an insurance policy.
As Essential Sailing is neither a current holder of an ATOL nor bonded with ABTA ,your financial protection is assured with our only booking flights with an independent travel agent who holds a license, and our having the necessary insurance cover for your transfers and accommodation whilst on board.

DEPOSITS & PAYMENTS

In respect of airfares and in order to confirm a flight, full payment may be required upon making a holiday booking. We would advise you accordingly at the time.
In respect of transfers and accommodation on-board, a 25% deposit would be required, with the balance payable within 10 weeks of your holiday.
All payments made will be confirmed in an invoice, at which point a contract will exist and acceptance of these terms and conditions established.
You may cancel at any time but since this would incur administrative costs, the following cancellation charge would apply:
- Outside 70 days – Deposit only
- 70 to 43 days – 50%
- 42 days or less – 100%

ITINERARIES

CANNES, NICE, MONACO & SOUTHEAST COAST – will operate on the 1st & 3rd week of each month.
ST.TROPEZ & SOUTHWEST COAST – will operate on the 2nd & 4th week of each month.
ESSENTIAL SAILING reserve the right to amend the itinerary as a result of inclement weather, the unavailability of marina berthing or to suit special festivals and events eg. Cannes International Film Festival, Monaco F1 Grand Prix.

TRANSFERS

Subject to Essential Sailing arranging your flights then we will arrange for your transfers from the airport to the yacht. If however, you wish to arrange your own flights then we could not guarantee to do so.
